Turquoise Knotted Necklace

Natural faceted turquoise cubes, hand knotted on brown nylon cord and finished with a wavy stainless steel toggle. I love to wear fun clasps in the front, but you can always flip it around for a more classic look.

Please allow a few wears for the necklace to fully relax - as knotting loosens over time, I prefer to knot my pieces somewhat tight initially.

I would advise against showering or swimming in this piece. While generally water resistant, moisture can weaken the cord fibers and over-stretch the knots.

Knotting is a jewelry technique from the mid-1800s, engineered to keep delicate stones and pearls from rubbing against and damaging each other. This method also prevents the loss of beads in the event that the string pops, and allows for a more natural, fabric-like draping of the necklace
